We’re Launching A Brand New Series – The THK Classics

We are happy to announce that Emily of New Moon is the first book in our brand new series of books called THK Classics. The THK Classics are hand-picked public domain classics with brand new fun covers for everybody to enjoy on their e-readers.

Published in 1923 by Lucy Maud Montgomery, Emily of New Moon is the story of Emily Starr, an orphan girl growing up on Prince Edward Island.

We decided to start our THK Classics Series with Emily of New Moon because L.M. Montgomery is a famous Canadian author who was born and grew up on Prince Edward Island, which is where we are going to visit this summer. It is a little less well-known than her Anne of Green Gable series, but it has received more attention after it was featured in the Netflix series Russian Doll.

101 Pet Jokes Available at SPCA Book Store

The animal shelter’s used book store now has copies of 101 Pet Jokes for sale ($7 each) at the counter as part of our fundraiser for the shelter. The book store is located at 695 St. Peter Avenue, across from Atlantic Superstore. (You can find the store hours & more info here, or check out the map below.)

From now until the end of April, 50% of the book sale profits of 101 Pet Jokes will go to the Bathurst Animal Shelter. You can find copies at the shelter and the shelter’s used book store. You can also order a copy online – check here for the links to Kobo, Amazon, and more.

Joke Book Fundraiser for Local Animal Shelter

We are happy to say that from now until the end of April, 50% of the book sale profits of 101 Pet Jokes will go to the Bathurst Animal Shelter. You can buy a copy right at the animal shelter for $7, and we will be selling them at the Bathurst Animal Shelter’s Used Book Store starting next week, too.

Book Launch for 101 Christmas Jokes at Public Library

We had our first book launch event open to the general public at the Bathurst Public Library, and we had a great turnout of friends and family. Thank you to everybody who showed up – Carol, Barbara, Khaled, Hatem, Michelle, Kim, Bella, and Grammie! And thank you to Judith at the Bathurst Public Library for letting us have our book launch here, and to Diane for helping set up the room!
